When a template has "Review required" or a shift contains exceptions (blocked or not-applicable steps), it goes to the site lead after submission.
The review
Supervisors open the submitted shift from Operations (the "Review" queue) and choose one of three decisions:
- Accept — everything is fine; the shift is completed.
- Accept with exceptions — the documented exceptions are accepted; the shift is completed. The decision is recorded with a note.
- Request rework — select the affected steps; a new, linked rework shift is created with exactly those steps. The original shift is preserved with all results and photos and moves to
Needs rework.
Principles
- Completed work is never silently declared finished: blocked steps always need a human decision.
- Every decision stores person, time and note.
- The original (results, photos, times) stays unchanged with rework — the rework shift is a new, separate record.
